This video showcases Lonesome Robots FX work on Danann Breathnach’s new short sci-fi film “The Question”. The project featured 72 effects shots including a full 3D meteorite intro sequence and the film title. The graphics for the super computer interface were designed by us in collaboration with the director and the producer. They gave us complete freedom to design the interface as we saw fit for the movie and made minor corrections regarding the readability of the interface messages. Other effects shots featured, cracking glasses, blinking leds, blood drip, fluorescent liquids, atmosphere effects, screen replacements and adding details in the scenes for greater realism.
“The Question” takes place in the near distant future, where a girl has been cryogenically reanimated, renewing a rift between science and religion. But, only she holds the answer to the ultimate question – In death, what did she see?

Sentiment Music Video
Music Video for “Sentiment” by VGO & Yinka. WeThePeople shot and edited the video and then handed it to us to add our own personal touch. First we cleaned all the walls from various tag graffiti and then relighted some parts of the video. Next we conceived the final look for the video and created all the VFX, the video title and the final grade. The title sequence required a workflow for tracking data from fish-eye footage and matching the added elements with the appropriate lens distortion. A custom patch was created in Quartz composer for the creation of the data-glitches.

“Accelerator” is a business incubator company based in London. They asked us to create a short animation of their logo as part of their rebranding and expansion. The piece should present the company’s vision of being a professional digital incubator, dynamic & young. It should also be distinct, so viewers would associate the brand immediately and help integrate the brand on different media and social communities.

LonesomeRobots completed visual FX work on Danann Breathnach’s new short film “The Question”. The project featured 72 effects shots including a meteorite intro sequence and the film’s title. Also all the graphics for the super computer interface were designed by LonesomeRobots in collaboration with the director Dannan Breathnach and the producer Mark Downes. It was a great collaboration and a wild ride trying to catch the deadlines, but the great thing was that both Dannan and Mark were so helpful and really let us add our own style to their vision. New LonesomeRobots & silentVelcro animation. An alien interface is searching the universe for intelligence when it comes up with a powerful signal. The signal is tracked, scaled down, analyzed, cleared from noise and inside its channels two images are found. But the alien technology took the analysis too far, singing and music that were not part of the signal started emerging…
